The other week a friend of mine (who was pregnant) sent her husband round to the shop for some alcohol free beer to enjoy whilst watching the X-factor and was disappointed to find that they had stopped selling it. When her husband asked the shop owner why he had stopped selling it he said it was because he was concerned about under 18's buying it as from a distance from the shop you couls easily think that it was actually alcoholic beer and as such he was concerned that he might get reported to the authorities. Because the bottles look the same as those that do contain alcohol, i can see his point that neighbours and passers by to the shop could mistake the bottles for alcoholic drinks and he said that he had had an increasing number of under 18's purchasing non-alcoholic beer. How sad is this that he felt so concerned of being reported that he has had to stop selling it!
