I believe this drug hasn't been classified in the UK yet?

Mephedrone is sometimes called Meow or Miow. Its chemical name is 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC). its a cross between cocaine and ecstacy, comes in powder form and is about £20 a gram. I know people who take this regularly and they say that it is very very strong indeed. Some places online sell it as Plant feeder. In the papers today - tragicvally - a young girl died after taking it alonong with Ketamine. Its use is all over the Uk, from Manchester all teh way down to London. It came from an Israeli company selling it a legal high in 2008, however has been made illegal there since then. Not something I would even consider taking as nothing is known about the side effects, long term effects, what happens when mixing it with Alcohol, other drugs etc.

Mephedrone is also called Bubbles in some places, and i have heard it called M-Cat (as its chemical formula is shortened to MM-CAT hence the 'meow'!). It is supposed to be a substitute for MDMA as far as i understand, haven't taken it myself but some friends who have say it isn't great. not worth the risk i'd say.

Mephedrone is illegal now (as of the 16/04/2010) and is a Class B drug. If you were to give it to your mates it would be classed as "Supply" (dealing) and that can carry a sentence of 14 years in jail and an unlimited fine. Just being caught with it in your possession can lead to up to 5 years in jail. If you decide to get rid of the mephedrone please do this responsibly. It's now recommended that you DON'T flush unwanted medicines or drugs down the toilet but you need to make sure any children or animals don't get hold of it. Naphyrone aka NRG1 was made illegal on the 23rd July 2010 and has been made a class B substance, therefore people who were supplying this legally previousy may try to mix it with other legal highs i order to clear there supplies, so you never really no what you are buying
